'William Carey; Citizen of the World'
by post and at the sites, £5 per copy or £3.75 for 10 or more copies plus p&p
This book tells of Carey's life from his childhood to his time in India. As well as the story the reader is challenged to relate Carey's life to their own experience.
There are questions to be thought about and puzzles to solve.
At Moulton there is a detective trail and at Kettering a special quiz.
This is a photocopiable activity pack, suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. It tells the story of William Carey in a thought-provoking way and contains a variety of activities, from simple word puzzles to creative writing, design projects and questions to discuss. It is hoped it will challenge children to think big and explore their own world-changing dreams. Teachers of KS 1, 2, and even 3 will find a wealth of ideas for work in R.E. Citizenship, English and Humanities. Answers where appropriate are available on request or via the website.
It has been published by 'The Carey Experience' with financial backing from the Baptist Union's 'Green Shoots' initiative.
